I had a nice dinner here at Kin Thai. I was very hungry as I only had eaten an apple at 10am, and it was already 6pm. So as my coworker likes to say, "my eyes be pimpin my brain" because I ordered too much food. In my defense, the pics for the quail egg wontons showed three, and I got six! And they were yummy! The wontons were perfectly fried and the quail egg gave a nice pop to the bite. I think even if I wasn't ravenous, the egg wrapped pad thai could be shared between two people. I could only eat about 2/3 of the plate. The egg was paper thin, and it was fun cutting it to reveal the noodles. The shrimp was very plump and cooked just right. Presentation was beautiful! I like a strong tamarind flavor and this pad thai didn't quite have it. Maybe the sauce needs some more time to develop. The menu did say they cook northern Thai cuisine, so maybe it's me who's not familiar with this version. It was a Monday night so it was really quiet, even with the few groups of people there. I imagine it gets more foot traffic closer to the weekend. The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate parties of various sizes. I like the woodsy decor. And the wait staff were really nice and refilled my water often. It was scorching hot in Sac and I finished my glass often. I'd love to come back and try one of the curries.

Love the design and service. The food presentation was also well done. The food was delicious. The Ga Prao had peppers in it that had a good spicy kick. Love it. Parking is on the street, we were lucky enough to find close parking. It located right next to Pete's coffee.

We stepped in to Kin Thai after having passed by the location sooooo many times, not realizing it was a restaurant. . . From the street, it's kind of hidden, so know where you are going. Inside is wide open with lots of tables. When we arrived on a Sunday evening, we were told at the door they don't have tables available, but we could sit at the window counter. HMMM lot's of open tables though... The tables themselves are made of heavy wood and the seating is wrought iron with heavy wood (and hard) seats. Definitely NOT designed for anyone to linger after dinner. Kin Thai still uses the QR code system for placing your orders. But, they do have physical menus if you ask. Personally, I am so over the QR code menu system. For dinner, we had: Eggplant salad - very good Chicken satay - pretty standard Massaman curry beef - Excellent (ask for spicy and you won't be disappointed) The price and the amount of food delivered was plenty for two people. In the time we were there, the place quickly filled up, they all dined, and all left by the time we were finished with our meals. . . not that WE were lingering, but it just seems like this is how the patrons eat here. FAST...

Upon our arrival at Kin Thai Street Eatery in Sacramento, the friendly and hospitable staff greeted us with genuine warmth. They promptly escorted us to a neatly arranged table, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The extensive and enticing menu presented us with a lovely dilemma - choosing from the tempting array of dishes was no easy task. However, we eagerly embraced the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the flavors of Thai cuisine. Indulging our appetites, we decided to start with the rolls, which were a perfect combination of flavors and textures. However, the true highlight of our culinary adventure was the Thai boat soup. Its rich and aromatic broth, brimming with an exquisite medley of spices and ingredients, was a revelation for the taste buds. Each spoonful was a delightful revelation, and I savored every last drop of this utterly delicious creation. The food and service were incredible. I'm already looking forward to coming back here. This dining experience was truly exceptional!

Food: Love everything but the Pas Thai. It tasted very plain. The plating is very beautiful! Service/Ambiance: The service was friendly and was doing a good job for being the only one on the floor at semi-busy time! I WILL SAY THE AC AND FAN WAS BLASTED tho to be fair it was 100 degrees outside lol

Decided to try this place out after reading others reviews. The food is outstanding. Super fresh and tasty. The service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is cool and fun. The tables are large and spaced out well to accommodate a stroller. Ate here without the kids but noted a family that brought in a stroller and little one. We will be coming back so many foods we want to try. My tweens would love this spot. I plan on burning them back next time I go. Eat here you will be happy you did. 1 note - parking is crazy and you have to be patient to park to get there but it is worth the wait. Great food!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Sac! Located in Midtown and parking can be difficult, but there is some street parking about a block away from the restaurant. The workers are very friendly and were quick to bring our food out. Items ordered: - Khao Soi with slow braised chicken ($17): I love the creamy and sweet flavor of this dish! The portion fills you up quickly and the soup is rich and full of a curry-like flavor. The chicken was very tender and comes as 2 large bones. A great dish for a cold or rainy day! -Tom yum soup with chicken ($7): The soup comes in a small bowl so it's meant as a single serving. I wish it came as a bigger size so I could share with others. The soup was sour and tangy and came with many mushrooms which I liked. Not super spicy too. I have also tried the Massaman Curry before which is one of their signature dishes and the flavor was immaculate. Definitely recommend Kin Thai for their amazing food!
